Position Description:

As Deputy, Field Operations, your role will involve supporting the execution and expansion of our RF capability experimentation and deployment in live environments. You'll play a critical role in ensuring the successful deployment, operation, and user driven improvement of Xtremis' spectrum situational awareness systems in coordination with our technical team.

You will bring a unique blend of operational acumen, understanding of RF sensor systems, and experience working in dynamic, field and operational environments. You will have the opportunity to directly shape how cutting edge spectrum dominance technologies are employed in real world mission sets and to help translate user needs into future advancements. This position is eligible for equity incentives.


Key Responsibilities:

  1. Reports to the Vice President of Field Operations.
  2. On a daily basis, responsible for leading and managing the Field Operations team to include recruitment, mentorship, and daily oversight of RF field personnel involved in data collection and sensor deployment.
  3. Supports the execution of RF sensing field activities, ensuring alignment with Xtremis' operational goals and user needs.
  4. Assists in gathering, documenting, and communicating military end-user feedback on RF product features and performance to the product development team.
  5. Aids in the recruitment, mentorship, and daily oversight of RF field personnel involved in data collection and sensor deployment.
  6. Leads infrastructure improvements at the Devil's Den Proving Ground site in Northwest Arkansas to support realistic testing and experimentation of advanced spectrum monitoring technologies.
  7. Supports the planning and execution of RF sensor installations and configuration of data transport systems in field environments.
  8. Assists in the development and delivery of RF operations training to new and existing field personnel.
  9. Ensures Field Operations personnel are trained and equipped to provide hands-on technical support during system setup, testing, and operational use in collaboration with military users.
  10. Participates in RF data analysis activities, including spectrogram review and initial signal characterization from raw I/Q data.
  11. Supports the labeling and curation of RF datasets used in the development of AI/ML-enabled detection and classification tools.
  12. Aids in the maintenance and logistics planning for deployed RF sensor equipment, including equipment accountability and lifecycle management.
  13. Collaborates with the VP of Field Operations in drafting operational plans and deployment concepts for sensor network employment.
  14. Contributes to the development and refinement of operational workflows that integrate RF sensing into military mission sets.
  15. Assists with military stakeholder briefings and training events, providing technical insights and demonstrating system capabilities.
